Polar Consult Alaska, Inc. and Chignik Lagoon Power Utility have put together a Hydroelectric Feasibility Study.  In July 2009,  a grant was awarded from Alaska Energy Authority for $150,000.  This funding has been used for installation of a stream gauge, permitting, and design of a hydroelectric facility.  This phase of the project is now complete and additional funding was awarded to begin phase III of the project, construction!
