​Chignik Area Inter-Village Road System Project

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) has recognized the need for the connection of the Chigniks as a key part of the potentially larger regional system.  Therefore, a survey was conducted and a pioneer road scouted in the summer of 2009 from Chignik Lagoon to Chignik Lake. Meterlogical Tower

During the summer of 2010, Knight Piesold Consulting erected a meterlogical tower at the landfill.  The Lake & Peninsula Borough is assisting Chignik Lagoon in an effort to conduct a wind resource assessment.
